10 Day River Cruise Paris to Port-Saint-Louis (WJLQ-T2)

Vacation Overview

Experience a culinary adventure on your European river cruise with stunning views along the Saône and Rhône Rivers to highlight regional cuisine and wine in the landscapes of Burgundy and Provence. Enjoy a pastry demonstration; a chocolate, cheese, and wine tasting; and a food-and-wine pairing dinner hosted by your Master of Wine on board.

Begin with two nights before your cruise in Paris—The City of Light. See Notre Dame Cathedral, the Eiffel Tower, and the Louvre Museum with guided sightseeing before traveling via high-speed train to Dijon. Visit Beaune’s Hotel-Dieu Charity Hospital, home of Van der Weyden’s “The Last Judgement.” Embark your ship in St. Jean de Losne and sail to the Chardonnay wine region of Mâcon, where you’ll enjoy cheese tasting on board. You’ll visit Lyon, France’s gastronomic capital, and see the famous Place des Terreaux with a guided culinary walk.

Beautifully nestled among vineyards are the twin cities of Tournon and Tain l’Hermitage. Take a guided walk through the Roman ruins of Tournon. Explore Viviers and Avignon, and cruise on the Rhône River to Arles. Attend a painting workshop in the style of Van Gogh whose work was inspired here. Your cruise concludes in Port-Saint-Louis.
